A campaign public financing proposal gets dumped as it loses key support of city councilman Dan Carpenter. His support is pulled in response to a rebellion in his campaign staff (in a race for district 3 supervisor, San Luis Obispo county) and, according to Dan, “hundreds of angry citizens” who don’t want their tax dollars spent on politicians’ campaigns.

 

So much for getting money out of politics.
